Une chambre - la chambre

petit(e) = small

La chambre est petite. - the room is small.

La chambre est trop petite. - the room is too small.

La chambre est très petite. - the room is very small.

La chambre est assez petite. - the room is quite small.

La chambre est extrêmement petite. - the room is extremely small.

* ATTENTION: liaison 

La chambre est trop grande. - the room is too big.

Il fait froid dans la chambre. - it's cold in the room.

il fait trop froid dans la chambre. - it's too cold in the room.

Il fait trop chaud dans la chambre. - it's too hot in the room. 

Il y a un hôpital dans la ville. - there is a hospital in the town.

Il n'y a pas...

Il n'y a pas d'eau (chaude). - no water in the room / no hot water in the room.

FONCTIONNER

(기계· 기관 따위가) 기능을 수행하다, 작동하다, 움직이다

영어의 기계가 작동하지 않을떄 working, not working과 같은 뜻..

Le chauffage fonctionne. <-> Le chauffage ne fonctionne pas. 

The heater is working.              the heater is not working.

La télévision / le téléviseur

la télévision ne fonctionne pas.

la climatisation ne fonctionne pas.

Excusez-moi, s'il vous plaît, j'ai un problème. la climatisation ne fonctionne pas.
